Roses are red
Do you have a problem with insects trying to eat all your flowers? My flowers are eaten by this black beetle and I hate it! They are all over and I do not know how to get rid of these insects do you?

Collard Greens
I always crave for green leafy vegetables. Back in the Philippines where I grow up we always have vegetables on the table every meal. When I got here in the US I have a hard time figuring out how to cook there green leafy vegetables here. I have eaten a lot of lettuces but would like to try cooking the other green leafy vegetables. So this year I decided to plant one green vegetable and it is called collard greens. I checked out google and look for recipes and found one that is easy and so yummy.
I then boil it for 8 minutes. Then I drain it.
In a wol I saute onion first until it will be translucent then I added the minched garlic. While stirring you can mix the collard greens at this time. But if you have a left over fish meat, shrimp, ham or pork slice it and mix it with the collard greens. Put a little vinegar on it I used rice vinegar then season with salt and pepper. Eat it hot.
My simple collard green dish. I am very glad I found this recipe and this vegetable.

Lemonade
Summer is definitely here and I find solace to my lemonade. I did not intend to make lemonade for the family but when I noticed that my hubby drinks a lot of pop this time I took out all the pops and make him a lemonade instead. Just wish that I could find a lemonade tree here in Michigan, just a wishfull thinking. ^_^

Barbeque Time
Here in the US when summer hits the calendar people are so eager to cook outside their house and do some barbeque. Everytime the weather is good and no rain in the early evening hubby and I will go outside and cook. The other day I went to an Oriental store and saw pre made pork barbeque. I thought why not grab two packs and enjoy the barbeque later. That day it rained so I took my George Foreman grill and grill the barbeque inside the house. Nothing could stop me from eating pork barbeque hehehe.
Imagine this with hot rice and vinegar for dipping, yummy!

Bachelors Button
Never thought this flower will come back this year. But I was surprise seeing it grow and blossomed like crazy. I am waiting for the all blue bachelors button to come out but did not see it yet. But I am okay with the blue/pink/white color too.
